Space Planning Office Cubicles
A great office cubicle design goes far beyond how an office looks and incorporates the company culture, workflow, and future growth. As you begin the design process, consider the following questions.
How does your company work and use the space?
Do your employees work independently or do they collaborate frequently during the day?
Do employees need a big lunch area, or do they eat out or at their desk?
Do you need room for a large copier or filing cabinet?
Do you need an aisle for people to walk through?
Do you need a receptionist area?
Do you need informal huddle or break spaces?
A well-designed office cubicles layout will meet the needs of your call center and support the use of your space. A functional office design can make a big difference in the long term satisfaction of your office cubicle environment.
To start designing your office, determine how much space you have to work with. A floor plan not only confirms your furniture and equipment will fit into your space, but it also allows you to see where new office cubicles and furniture might fit as you grow.
To get started, you will need an outline of your space. Begin by drawing all the walls, columns, cabinets, and other immovable features. Make note of light switches and outlet placements. Once you have your drawing, you are ready to start your measurements. Measure all the exterior and interior walls, doorways, and other features in your space. Post reminders and frequently referenced documents in one tidy area using our tack board system. These fabric covered boards attach to the panel and are available in 2 different styles. Powered and non-powered options are available. Tack boards come in 24”-60” widths to mirror your panel sizes.
Cube Solutions Lateral Files come in 2, 3, 4, and 5 drawer lockable options. All files have a built in counterweight; and the two drawer file can be used freestanding or mounted under a work surface. The lateral files can accommodate legal or letter size hanging files, and are available in 30″, 36″ and 42″ widths. Available in BU, HF, MT or WF finishes.
Mobile Pedestal Files
This mobile pedestal file offers the same storage as a structural pedestal file, but comes with casters for flexible placement. The mobile pedestal will fit under your work surface, or it can also be pulled out and moved around. These pedestals are 20” deep. Like the structural pedestal, they also come in full pull or square pull fronts. Ask about our slightly shorter version that can be fitted with an optional fabric top for extra seating.
Another of our popular storage options is the File-File structural pedestal. It is a lockable file that can be mounted under any workstation. This file comes with two lockable twelve inch deep drawers. It is available in either square or full pull options. We offer a variety of finishes to match your workstation.

Monitor Arm – Single
Bring your flat screen monitors to a comfortable eye level with our adjustable monitor arms. Single arm has a weight capacity of 25 pounds. Available in clamp or grommet style.
Monitor Arm – Dual
Double monitor displays are rising in popularity, and our TREX arms will pick them up off your work surfaces. Dual arms have a weight capacity of 12 pounds each. Available in clamp or grommet style.
Our LED Task light is a versatile option for new or existing cubicles. It attaches to the underside of a flipper door unit or shelf using magnets for easy adjustment. Each light runs at approximately 9 watts, which computes to a 90% energy savings for comparable incandescent, and 66% energy savings for comparable fluorescent lights. Available in silver finish with dimmer. Cord management is available. The extended life cycle, chaining capability, easy installation and extended cost-savings make this energy efficient option a smart choice for offices.
Our pencil drawers are perfect for keeping your favorite office supplies handy and your desktop clutter-free! These mount under work surfaces and are available in black.
Our paper management accessories easily attach to a tool rail bar, keeping important papers within arm’s reach. Mix and match the binder holder, vertical paper tray and diagonal file tray to create the perfect organization system within your cubicle. Diagonal paper trays come equipped with three see-through dividers. All trays have a weight capacity of five pounds. Available in BU and MT finishes.
